     The 15-lap Crate Model feature was a crash filled affair with seven cautions in fifteen laps. Kelly Putz chased leader Mike Wilson in through the halfway point with Joe Warren running in third. Multi-car tangles eliminated a third of the 26 car starting field and the cautions kept the field tightly bunched.

 

            Kelly Putz made his winning pass of Wilson with two laps to go. Joe Warren followed into second with Mike Williams in third. Putz drove his Goodwrench/Brown’s Service & Repair No. 59 to his third win with Warren finishing in second to earn his second point crown. Williams had his best run of the year to finish in third with Herb Tunis fourth and Justin Breeding fifth.

            The Crate Model 15-lap feature was controlled from the start by pole sitter Justin Breeding. Tyler Reed and Chris Hitchens kept the pressure on from the start. Cautions on laps three and four would keep the field tightly bunched and at the halfway sign the top five were Breeding, Reed, Hitchens, Herb Tunis and Joe Warren.

 

            Reed went to the very top of the speedway and worked his way out front to lead lap 13. Reed survived a restart with two laps to go, holding off Breeding for the second win of his young career in the Reed Trucking/Quillen Signs No. 44. Breeding finished a personal best in second with Tunis taking third from Warren on the final lap. Barry Beauchamp rounded out the top five. Beauchamp also set fast time in qualifying.

           The 15-lap Crate Model feature was a caution filled affair with eight yellows. Mike Wharton led the first two laps before Barry Beauchamp moved on top. Tyler Reed climbed to third but then brought out the yellow on lap four. Joe Warren jumped into second on the restart.

 

            At the halfway sign the top five were Beauchamp, Warren, Wharton, Kelly Putz, and Mike Williams. Yellows would keep the field tightly bunched. Beauchamp slipped high on lap 11 and Warren moved by to take the lead.

 

            Warren survived two more yellows on laps 13 and 14 to take his fourth win of the year in the King’s Crop Insurance/Lazer. Beauchamp finished in the second spot with Putz third. Eric Vent made a late race charge to finish in fourth and Williams rounded out the top five. Fast time in qualifying was set by Beauchamp.

           Eric Vent was glad that he started on the pole in the in the 15-lap Crate Model feature. By the end of lap one, 13 of the 22 started had been involved in two separate pileups. When things finally settled down, Kelly Putz would chase Vent the rest of the distance.

 

            Barry Beauchamp made it a good battle as he kept the pressure on Putz. Vent crossed the line first for his third win in the Clark’s Pool/Lazer. Putz finished in second with Beauchamp third. Chris Hitchens put on a good run to finish in the fourth spot and Joe Warren survived being in one of the crashes to finish in fifth. Fast time was set by Vent in qualifying.

            Kelly Putz edged ahead of Mike Wharton to lead the first lap of the 15-lap Crate Model feature. Defending point champion, Jack Mullins, Jr. returned to action after a two month absence and took second while point leader, Herb Tunis battled from third.

 

            At the halfway sign the top five were Putz, Mullins, Tunis, Joe Warren and Chris Hitchens. The race would stay green and the order would not change the rest of the distance. It was the second win of the year for Putz in the Brown’s Service & Repair No. 59.

            Justin Breeding led the first five laps of the 15-lap Crate Model feature before Joe Warren, who had started in fifth, moved on top. Just as Warren took the lead the yellow was out for Skip Syester who hit the inside wall on the back straight.

 

            At the halfway sign the top five were Warren, Tyler Reed, Breeding, Barry Beauchamp and Herb Tunis. Beauchamp was on the move taking third with two to go just as the yellow flew for the final time.

 

            On the restart, Beauchamp battled his way by Reed for second with one to go but Warren was gone as he drove to his third win in the Big Fish Grill/Lazer. Beauchamp finished in the second spot with Reed third. Fourth went to Tunis with Justin Breeding rounding out the top five.

     Barry Beauchamp has been turning in some good performances in the Crate Models but on Saturday night he turned in the best one of his career. Beauchamp started on the pole with two time winner, Mike Wilson in second. Wilson held the second spot until lap five when last week’s winner, Eric Vent claimed the spot.

     At the halfway sign Beauchamp held a 1.5 seconds advantage over Vent with Joe Warren, Wilson and Herb Tunis running in the top five. Warren put on a strong drive in the closing laps taking second from Vent and challenging Beauchamp with two laps to go. Beauchamp, in the Quality Mechanical Incorporated/Lazer remained flawless to take his first checkered. Warren finished in the second spot with Vent third. Fourth went to Wilson and Tunis rounded out the top five. Beauchamp was the only car in the top five that was not a multiple feature winner this season.

     Eric Vent was picture perfect in the caution filled 15-lap Crate Model feature. Vent took control from the pole at the drop of the green and made no mistakes. By halfway he was being chased by Herb Tunis who had started in fifth and Tyler Reed in third.

     Vent, in the Clark’s Pools/Lazer cruised to his second win of the season. Tunis finished in the second spot and Joe Warren grabbed third on the final lap. Reed finished in the fourth spot with Barry Beauchamp rounding out the top five. Fast time in qualifying was set by Vent.

            After running second in the makeup feature earlier in the night, Mike Wilson was able to do one better and equal his win of last week. Wilson started on the pole with Kelly Putz providing the pressure until Joe Warren took over second just before the halfway sign.

 

            Warren tried every move but Wilson was there to hold him off and take the win in the Sundance Pool Supplies No. 12. Warren had to settle for second with Putz ending a very good night in third. Fourth went to Tyler Reed and Travis Justice rounded out the top five. Fast time in qualifying was set by Warren.

 

            In the makeup Crate Model feature from June 14th, last week’s winner, Mike Wilson jumped out to the early lead with Tyler Reed in second. Kelly Putz took over the second spot on lap two and by the halfway point was challenging Wilson for the lead with Reed in third and Barry Beauchamp fourth.

 

            Putz took the lead one lap later just as the first yellow flew for Nick Davis. Putz remained in control the rest of the distance for his first win of the season. Wilson finished in the second spot with Reed third. Fourth went to Beauchamp and Herb Tunis rounded out the top five.

            In the 15-lap Crate Model feature, Justin Breeding held the lead from his pole starting position for the first three circuits. Mike Wilson, who started in second, took the point on lap three and at the halfway sign the top five were Wilson, Breeding, Tyler Reed, Kelly Putz, and Joe Warren.

 

            Wilson would make no mistakes as he drove his Sundance Pool Supplies No. 12 to his first win of the season and the third of his career. Breeding finished out an outstanding run in second Reed nailing down third. Herb Tunis made a late race charge to finish in the fourth spot with Putz finishing in fifth..

            The 15-lap Pepsi Crate Model feature was a competitive one with four different leaders in the event. Travis Justice led the first lap before Tyler Reed took the point. Reed’s lead would be short lived as Joe Warren moved on top on lap three. At the halfway sign the top five were Warren, Herb Tunis, Reed, Sparky White, and Justin Breeding.

 

            Tunis cranked it up and took the lead down the back straight on lap ten. The yellow was out as Reed and Sparky White made contact and went off the first turn. Breeding now found himself in third with Mike Wilson running fourth and Josh Millman fifth.

 

            Tunis, in the Greg Mitchell Racing/Tink’s Fab Shop car took his third win of the season with Warren finishing second. Breeding turned in his best performance of the season in third with Wilson fourth and rookie Millman posting his personal best in fifth. Fast time in qualifying was set by Warren.

     Justin qualified 9th after invert started 10th. In the 15-lap Crate Model feature it only took Tyler Reed one lap to work by Kelly Putz for the lead. Reed slowly pulled away from the field as Jack Mullins worked into second and Joe Warren came from seventh to third.

     Warren’s run ended with the first caution at the halfway sign as he rolled to a stop. The top five were now Reed, Mullins/Herb Tunis, Putz, and Sparky White. Reed was able to open a slight advantage over Mullins as the race stayed green until two laps to go when Nick Davis got around bringing out the final yellow.

     Reed hit the restart perfect and was able to hold on for the final two laps to post his first career win in the Reed Trucking/Quillen Signs/Warrior. Mullins finished in second with Tunis third. Fourth went to Putz and Barry Beauchamp rounded out the top five. Fast time in qualifying was set by Warren.

     Justin qualified 6th after invert started 8th.  Tyler Reed set the pace at the start of the 15-lap Crate Model feature with Barry Beauchamp giving chase along with Joe Warren. As Reed took advantage of a clear track ahead the battle for second added Jack Mullins.

 

       Warren broke free to take second and wasted no time in taking the point on lap seven. At the halfway sign the top five were Warren, Reed, Beauchamp, Mullins and Chris Jestice. Cautions on laps 11 through 14 kept Warren from building a lead.

 

       The final lap shoot out was all Warren as he recorded his second straight win in the Big Fish Grill/Lazer. Reed finished a personal best in second with Beauchamp third. Sparky White came on strong to finish in fourth and Justin Breeding rounded out the top five. Fast time was set by Kelly Putz in qualifying.

      Justin qualified 3rd after invert started 8th.  The Crate Model 15-lap feature was a caution filled event that kept race long leader, Joe Warren on his toes. Warren held off defending champion, Jack Mullins throughout the entire distance. Herb Tunis worked his way into third from fifth just before the halfway sign.

     The final yellow in the event flew with just two laps left to go when Barry Beauchamp and John Imler tangled in the third turn. Warren remained flawless on the final two laps as he drove his King Crop Insurance/Lazer to the checkered. Mullins finished in the second spot with Tunis third. Fourth went to 15 year old Tyler Reed and Sparky White rounded out the top five. Fast time in qualifying was set by Tunis.

            Justin Breeding who just celebrated his 16th birthday last week, set fast time in the Crate Model division. In their 15-lap feature, rookie Chris Jestice held off the persistent challenges of former champion, Joe Warren to lead the first six laps. Eric Vent made a bold move on the outside in the third turn to take the lead on lap seven and was followed at the halfway sign by Jestice, Warren, Mike Williams and Barry Beauchamp.

 

            Jestice would chase Vent for the rest of the distance but Vent, in the Clark’s Pools/Snookie’s Speed Parts/Lazer would not be denied his first win of the year. Jestice made no mistake to take second with Warren finishing in third. Fourth went to Mike Williams with Beauchamp rounding out the top five. Justin had a good run going until a tire went down.

            In the 15-lap Crate Model feature, Jack Mullins wasted no time moving from his outside second row starting spot to take the lead from Mike Williams on lap one. Barry Beauchamp looked strong running in third and two time winner, Herb Tunis drove by Eric Vent for fourth.

 

            Williams came to a stop on lap four ending his drive and bringing out the yellow. Tunis grabbed second on the restart but could not close on Mullins. Beauchamp regrouped and took second back from Tunis. The yellow came out for a final time with just one lap to go.

 

            Mullins had no problem driving away from the field on the restart as the defending champion went on to his first win of the year in the Murray Motors/Bi-Rite Auto/Warrior. Beauchamp finished a well earned second with Tunis third. Fourth went to Vent and Joe Warren came on to finish in the fifth spot. Beauchamp set fast time in qualifying.

            In the companion Crate Model 15-lap feature, Herb Tunis also made it two straight as he worked his way from his sixth starting spot to take the lead with five to go. Mike Williams led the first four laps. The second and final yellow came out on lap five just and Eric Vent took the top spot.

 

            At the halfway sign Vent was followed by Williams, Tunis, Mike Wilson and Jack Mullins in the top five. Tunis took second on lap nine and smoothly worked his way by Vent to lead lap 10.

 

            Tunis would make no mistakes from that point on as he drove to his second win in the GMR/Tink’s Fab Shop/Rocket. Vent finished in second with Wilson third. Joe Warren made a late race charge to finish in fourth and Tyler Reed rounded out the top five. Fast time in qualifying was set by Warren.

 

          Justin got spun around sending him to the back of the field.  The car received damage underneath which never lead him to finish the race in the back of the field.

     In the Street Modified 15-lap feature, Kelly Putz started on the pole after setting fast time in qualify. The first lap was an exciting one as Putz, Jack Mullins, and Barry Beauchamp came off the fourth turn three wide. Mullins edged the trio to lead the lap with Beauchamp taking second.

 

            Herb Tunis was on the outside and heading to the front after starting in tenth. By lap three, he was fifth and one lap later he passed by Putz and Joe Warren for third. Tunis dropped Beauchamp to third on lap five and two laps later, slipped low under Mullins going into the third turn to take the lead.

 

            At the halfway point the top five were Tunis, Mullins, Beauchamp, Mike Wilson and Justin Breeding. With Mullins in control, Beauchamp and Mullins put on a good battle for second with Mullins gaining the spot with three to go.

 

            Tunis, in the Greg Mitchell Racing/Tink’s Fab Shop/Rocket went on to collect his first career win in the division. Mullins finished in second with Beauchamp third. Fourth went to Wilson and Eric Vent closed strong to round out the top five.
